Overall, I bought this game wishing that it would be my hub of all my old and new Just Dance games, so I like it. Like I said I haven’t played since 2014 title, so idk if the others were like that though. The way the 2022 song list leads right into the JD Unlimited catalog, it just seems like they’re going to keep the same format and swap it with new songs for the next game. Do y’all remember when each JD had its own theme and music while going through the menus? The white minimalistic background and menus just make it looks boring honestly. Just Dance 2022 feels like a copy and paste type of game. If the app would pull up the phone keyboard it would make everything easier. Have y’all tried searching up a song? Its like watching paint dry how long it takes. There is no help to understand what the icons are at first, so you just have to play around with it to understand. Theres no way to sort songs based on each game (Just dance 3, Just Dance 4, etc), so you have to make a playlist and painstakingly list each song after searching up the game.Īpp is decent for what it does, but not a useful as it could be. They just throw it all into a big drop down menu. After you figure things out it’s easy, but initially I was struggling lol.ĭon’t even get me started on the song layout. I’d like to say I’m a big gamer, so a supposedly family - friendly game shouldn’t be a pain to figure out where to go. Why make us go through the trouble of making dancer cards for everybody, if you’re not going to save the data for them? The slap in the face is that the game has no problem showing the name and information for the best scorer across the world for each song. Part of the fun I had with my family was being able to see who got the high score for each song, then try to beat it. You can’t see player high scores (no local leaderboard).
Some of these features are so simple I don’t understand why they aren’t implemented, when previous titles did it.
The joys of the songs are still the same and I love that, but the interface and player experience is really lacking. I’ve got to say, it was not what I was expecting. I recently bought Just Dance 2022 after not playing since JD2014, and I was really excited to see what all changed and be able to dance to all the old songs with JD Unlimited.
